April 

Emma had a rash on her legs and a slight fever...so off to the ER we went

After tests and lots of waiting...they determine she had the same thing I did at her age. It is a version of strep that sounds like "potpurri" but of course I can't find the name of it now 😕
Just kinda funny we both had the same random rash at about the same age.

Ms. Nikki at Daycare enjoyed braiding Emma's hair during the day. Here is the crimped hair after I took out her braid. She loved it! 

Emma's Gymnastics award ceremony

Ryan playing catcher for this season's team - he really enjoyed the position. So did we! A lot more action to watch then when he's out in the out field! 

Daycare project - Cracked us up that she listed Connor Regester as her cousin. Note that at age 5 she wanted to be a chef and loves macaroni. At least her love of cheesy things hasn't changed much!

2014 Ski trip

Ski Trip to Paoli - January 2014

Emma's first ski trip with uncle Matthew and Ryan - they had a blast! She was able to hang with the boys for most of the day. When she finally crashed - Matthew and Ryan hit the harder slops. Mom and I had a great time watching them taking off! 

Beards, Bears, and Blankets...oh my!

For some strange reason I don't have any christmas photos on my cell phone from 2013 - just this random painted bear cookie and a lopsided blanket I attempted to knit for some reason I can't recall...hmmm

We're using my grandma's sugar cookie cut outs to make painted cookies with mom, Bill, Matt, Matthew, and the kids. I love that we're still making memories with her cookie cutters. 

Maybe a baby blanket for someone...a really lopsided blanket. Lol! 

January - Looks like Matt is turning into Grizzly Adams! Love the floofy beard 😘😘😘

By February he was back to his "normal" self 

Brown County Camping - 2013 Halloween

October 26th - Camping in Brown County with Mom, Bill, Karen, Tim, and family.

I asked Emma what she wanted to be for Halloween and her answer was a "scary spider". I wasn't quite sure how I was going to pull that one off, but after a few google searches, I found a rather easy way to make spider legs. Now, looking back I realize I didn't take into account her actual arms, so she was a 10 legged spider =D

We got lots of great comments for originality this year - with mom and Bill, and Emma's costume. Matt was of course a big hit for those that had watched The Hangover this year. So much fun to have Matt catch the Halloween spirit!!!

Early 2013

January 

Ryan and Matthew took a ski trip to Boyne Highlands in Michigan. The two of them went up for a long weekend trip and had a blast. Ryan is getting better at staying up on his skis and steering.

Valentine's Day - My husband knows me so well =) He surprised me with this lovely coffee mug and a gorgeous bouquet of Roses. 

The heart turns red when it's hot and then turns back to back to black as it cools. It makes the nerd in me smile =D

Our friends Brent and Andrea came for a visit and stayed with us for a couple of days. We all went out to the Irish Lion and then to the boys' favorite bar - The Alley Bar, for beer and spicy peanuts. 

We had a great time, although Matt had to work at keeping his eyes open for the next photo ;)

A friend of ours gave us tickets to an IU basketball game, so the two of us were able to go out and enjoy a night together cheering on the Hoosiers!
